On Rosh Hashanah, it is written On Yom Kippur, it is sealed. May it be written and may it be sealed that you have a new year that brings fulfillment and happiness, peace and prosperity -- all of life's very best things. Have a Happy, Healthy New Year
On Rosh Hashanah, it is written... On Yom Kippur, it is sealed. All that you pray for, all that you dream of, all that makes you happy... that's what you're wished in the new year and always. Shanah Tovah Rosh Hashanah is the two-day celebration marking the Jewish New Year, which begins a ten-day period leading up to the holiest day of the Jewish calendar, Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement. Another way to think about Rosh Hashanah is as the birthday of the world, for it commemorates the creation of Adam and Eve. Customs include the blowing of the shofar (a hollowed out ram's horn), calling for penitential prayers. Traditional foods are sweet, such as apples dipped in honey and Challah bread made sweeter and shaped in a circle, to symbolize completeness and to usher in a sweet new year.
When you look into your heart as the new year starts may you discover a new sense of possibility a new belief in the gifts you have to share a new connection to the people around you and a renewed commitment to your faith and your dreams. Everything wonderful and new - that's what you're being wished at this special time of year. Happy Rosh Hashanah
