at Easter...

I've been thinking about you,
and I realize that there are
some things I need to say to you...

I'm not sure where to begin...
but I do know that I want to say
I'm proud of you
and I'm thankful that we
grew up in the same family.
I have always taken for granted
that you would be here for me
through good times and bad.
Now that I am growing older,
I know that unexpected events
can change our lives suddenly
and create regrets,
because we never told
those we love
just how we feel about them.

So just in case changes
come about in our lives,
I want you to know now
that I love you just the way
you are.
Nothing will ever change
this fact.

my lifetime friend,
