THE WACKY MINDS AT WELLCAT.COM

...When something touches your life, create a day for it

Meet Ruth and Thomas Roy, founders of "Wellcat Holidays and Wellcat Herbs", the delightful couple who have brought us such memorable wacky holidays as:
Northern  Hemisphere
Hoodie-Hoo  Day

February 20th
Panic  Day
March 9th
Answer  Your  Cat's  Question  Day
January 22nd
And that is only the beginning! At last count, there were almost eighty more days that the Roys have actually registered as official holidays. They remain at the ready, always scanning the horizon for yet another holiday with quirky mass appeal. Thomas created his very first holiday, "Hoodie-Hoo Day", published in Chase's Calendar of Events, in 1986. The following year he submitted another eight, and he hasn't stopped yet.

Ruth and Thomas strive to live by a simple creed; "When something touches your life, create a day for it". Even their son Michael has joined in. He created "Don't Step On A Bee Day" after an unfortunately memorable event.

When they are not pursuing their passion for holidays, Thomas is an actor whose film credits include the wild-eyed street preacher in the critically acclaimed "12 Monkeys," and he is also the Associate Producer of the annual Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire. Ruth keeps herself busy in the herb business. Her company, "Mistress Ruth's Herb Garden and Apothecary", both at the Faire and on the internet, markets culinary, botanical and medicinal herbs and spices as well as personally handcrafted aromatherapy oils, balms, lotions, soaps, dream pillows, and an exquisite variety of authentic Victorian and Elizabethan potpourris.

Feel free to stop by the Roy's website at www.wellcat.com for a holiday herbal treat. There you will discover that there's always something new to celebrate at Wellcat Quirky Holidays and Wellcat Herbs.
