My Son, This Father's Day I'm Thinking of the Little Boy You Once Were and the Father You Are Today A son is a first smile that you never forget. He's tiny footsteps that fill your heart with pride. He's the skinned knees and messy hair, as well as pride and frustration. A son can be grown-up and mature, yet still be your little boy: a child and an adult rolled into one. As he becomes an adult, you see the love you have given him passed on and shared. And he blesses your life by proving to be the type of man you always hoped and prayed he'd grow up to be. - Barbara Cage Happy Father's Day!
This Is for You, Dad This is for you, for the father I love, for the one who has cared all these years, but has never heard enough about how much I care. So this is for you. For the one who has helped me through all my childhood fears and failures, and turned all that he could into successes and dreams. For the man who is a wonderful example of what more men should be. For the person whose devotion to his family is marked by gentle strength and guidance, and whose love of life, sense of direction and down-to-earth wisdom make more sense to me now than nearly any other thing I've learned. If you never knew how much I respected you, I want you to know it now, Dad. And if you never knew how much I admire you...let me just say that I think you're the best father that any child ever had. - Collin McCarty Happy Father's Day
Happy Father's Day from a Daughter Who Loves You So Much After you receive this card, I want you to do something special for me. I want you to close your eyes, just for a quiet moment, and imagine me sitting here with a tear of happiness on my cheek and a smile of love on my face. Because that's how I'm sure to be as I think of you on Father's Day. And maybe if you can see me, and feel me in your heart, then we can erase the miles between us and make this moment a celebration of the love that this daughter feels... for her very precious father. -- Laurel Atherton With Love, on Father's Day
For You, My Brother, On Father's Day This Father's Day I would love for you to know something... I think you're a pretty wonderful guy, and a great father, too. And I know I don't tell you often enough how much you mean to me, and how much you always have... but you're someone I dearly love. I think of you a lot, and one thought that has crossed my mind so many times is that... of the millions of brothers in the world... I somehow managed to be blessed with the best one of all. - Poem by Laurel Atherton Have a Great Father's Day
Dad, We Don't See Each Other Often Enough Time seems to have a way of passing too quickly, and as each day comes to an end I realize it's one more I haven't spent with you. I appreciate our phone calls; I know we think about one another and try to keep in touch. But I enjoy being with you even more. I miss you, Dad. I like seeing your smile and hearing your laughter. I miss that feeling of knowing that I'm with someone who thinks I'm special, and who always gives me a deep sense of warmth and security. I miss hearing about what's going on in your life and being a more active part of it. Even though I'm not a little child anymore, and it may seem as though I don't need you like I once did, a special dad like you isn't something that a child outgrows. In fact, the great memories we share are valued and treasured... we just need to get together more often so that we can make some new ones. -Poem by Barbara Cage Thinking of You This Father's Day
For All the Times I Never Said, "I Love You, Dad" So often it may seem as if I have taken you for granted, that I never noticed all that you did for me or the sacrifices you made for my benefit. But I did notice. I may not have said anything at the time, and I am sure that many times I really didn't appreciate you. But now that I have grown up, I realize that everything you did was because you loved me and wanted the best for me. I can see now that doing so much for me meant giving up a lot for yourself. As I look around, I see many parents who take care of themselves first and their children second. In the eyes of those children, I can see a hurt that I never knew. You have given me more than I ever deserved. At a time when so many people are blaming their parents for what is wrong with them, I want to thank you for all that is good in me. You instilled it in me with each hug, scolding, understanding word, punishment, and "I love you." I just wanted to tell you that I am forever grateful, and I love you very much. - Poem by Michele Weber Happy Father's Day, Dad
To My Wonderful Grandfather on Father's Day I know I haven't always told you how I feel, at least not in so many words, but it means a lot to me to have you in my life. Whenever I think of you or talk about you, it is always with pride and respect and love. No matter where life takes me, or how much time passes by, you will always be an important part of my life. I feel very fortunate to have a grandfather as wonderful as you. -Poem by Anna Marie Edwards Happy Father's Day

Since Meeting You I Know that Love Is the Most Important Feeling One Can Have I used to think that love was only real in the movies and that I enjoyed being alone I used to think that I was too independent that I didn't need anyone because I was so strong But after meeting you I realize that my attitude towards love was merely a cover-up of my disappointment with relationships I put on a strong, noncaring front so no one would know how I felt But after meeting you I could no longer pretend My feelings became transparent and now I want to tell the world something I always knew but was afraid to admit that love is the most important feeling one can have and I want to thank you for causing me to be honest with myself and others I love you -Poem by Susan Polis Schutz I Love You
Do You Really Know How Much You Mean to Me? Sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night shivering from fright feeling empty feeling nothing because I think about how it would be if you weren't here And then I wonder if you really know how very much you mean to me how incredible I think you are how you are a part of all my emotions how you are the deepest meaning in my life Please always know that I love you more than anything else in the world -Poem by Susan Polis Schutz I Love You
Father's Day Is the Perfect Time to Say... 'I Love You, Dad' I'd like to tell you how much I love you, Dad... and I hope you already know that I do. I wish that the words I speak so gently to you could be heard by your heart with the same meanings and the same thankful feelings of love that they carry from deep within me... And especially today -- on your day -- I want you to remember, though my thoughts don't always convey it, and my feelings don't always show, I love you, Dad and I always will... more than you'll ever know. - Carey Martin Happy Father's Day, Dad!
For My Son-in-Law on Father's Day I never thought anyone would be good enough for my "little girl" -- until I met you! I see how much you care for my daughter by the thoughtful things you do and say, and that makes me love you even more. You are always kind and courteous; I feel more than welcome in your home. I love the way we can talk about anything. You aren't afraid to ask my opinion of any subject, and I thank you for that. In all the world, I couldn't have picked a more perfect husband for my most precious treasure: my daughter. Today, I want to let you know this, and assure you of my caring and preciation. I'm always here for you. You are an important addition to our family, and I love you like a son. -Poem by Joy Barnett Happy Father's Day
To My Wonderful Husband, Recipient I Love You Sometimes I worry about you You don't relax enough You work so hard There is so much for you to do Sometimes I worry about you You don't realize how much you are appreciated or how much you give of yourself to others or what a wonderful husband you are to me and what a perfect father you are to our children Other times I am thankful for the way you are as I realize it is the only way you could be But at all times I want you to know that I respect you so greatly and I thank you for being the best man in the world in every way I love you - Poem by Susan Polis Schutz Happy Father's Day with All My Love Always
