Kathy Davis Special Mother’s Day Series!

It’s is our pleasure to talk about one of our favorite artists, Kathy Davis. Kathy is a best-selling designer, artist and author who grew up loving art! Though she is a self-described late bloomer, she began making greeting cards as a young child. These days she lives in Horsham, PA with her family and a menagerie of pets. It is her mission to “Scatter Joy – Joy through art, Joy through living, Joy through giving.” Her greeting cards, which feature sunny, nature-inspired watercolors with heartfelt sentiments, will surely scatter joy among your family and friends. This Mother’s Day, Kathy is celebrating by featuring a special series on her blog. Here is a little more on the special project in Kathy’s own words…

It is not often that I get as excited about a project as I am about THIS one!!!

As you know, May brings with it some beautiful things…longer days, warmer sunshine, blooming flowers…and Mother’s Day!

This year, the day that we honor Mothers falls on Sunday, May 13th, and I have a very special treat in store!  Starting May 6th and lasting all through the week leading up to Mother’s Day, I am posting interviews with some very special Mothers and Daughters.

Since my own daughter, Katie, has chosen a career in the Arts as I have, I thought it would be interesting to do a blog series that features mothers and daughters who share the creative gene. I rounded up six different mother-daughter duos (including Katie and myself) who have agreed to share a bit of their personal stories with us about how they keep art in the family.

Tune in to find out more about our Mother-Daughter duos …and please help spread the word. I’m hoping that these “Conversations with Mothers and Daughters in the Arts “will bring a smile to your face and warm your heart.

We love this idea and can’t wait to read all the posts about the Mother-Daughter duos! If you’re as big of a Kathy Davis fan as we are here at, be sure to check out all of Kathy’s featured eCards – especially her new Mother’s Day eCard!
